March Showers bring April Babies!

Happy March! This month started off great! On March 7th, my friends gave me a baby shower. It was wonderful. We had a nice quaint brunch at Amanda's house and everyone was so generous and kind. I can't believe how many new PINK things we got! Totally unexpected, but graciously appreciated. Believe it or not, I've written the thank you notes already. Unfortunately, they're still sitting in my room waiting to be stamped and addressed...how does that happen?

This is a picture of my family before the shower. Mom, Grandma, Aunt Mimi and Aunt Janet were all able to come to town for the festivities too! Adam and Mark stayed here and watched a few kids while we went across the street and ate to our hearts content!

Below are the hostesses. The shower was at Amanda's house. Theresa, Leslie, Amanda, me, Leigh and Andrea. Everyone contributed a little so I don't think it was too burdensome for any one person to handle!

Together they made a delicious nice spread of food!

Everyone contributed to the wonderful gifts I got. I had them all laid out at home after opening, but unfortunately, didn't get a picture of them before they got put into the closet! Bummer! But, trust me, we got more than we should have, that is for sure! Also, just realized I didn't get a group shot of attendees, what was I thinking??? I do have lots of pictures though and I think everyone is captured individually, so that is all that matters!

Once we got home, mom, grandma, Mimi and Janet wanted to pose for their exercise videos that they all workout to and send them in to the author. Below is their picture! Silly girls! I think they did get it sent in...hopefully 'Leslie' responds!

Today is March 18th. We didn't do anything last night for St. Paddys-shocking, I know-but we did take Chase out for ice cream after dinner. Of course he loved it. He got BLUE ice cream with white chocolate chips. The ice cream was cotton candy flavored-yuck to me, but good to him. We brought 1/2 of it home and he ate the rest today.

It was a gorgeous day today-FINALLY! so, I asked Mark to take some 'belly shots' with me and Chase. They turned out OK, not fabulous, but good enough. I kept wanting to do professional pics,but didn't get around to it. Still could...but won't! So, here it is. I haven't been too good about getting the pics. Today, I'm 34wks 5 days...and BIG! :) Sometimes I feel real big, sometimes, I feel not-so-big. These pictures make me look REAL big! Chase really wanted to play with his cars instead of take pics with mom, so it was a pretty short session anyway!

We took Shadow to the vet today. He only weighs 54 lbs-ouch! When he was a lot younger, he weighed 105 at one time. More recently he's been in the 85lb range. He turned 15yrs old last month, can you believe it? He was diagnosed today with lymphoma (?) of the intestines. Apparently, there is no real cure, but we can give him steroids to prolong his life, but not 'fix' the problem. He's not in pain, his body just doesn't retain nutrients. Pretty soon, we'll probably be making that difficult descision. BUMMER!

I go to the doc tomorrow and start on my 'weekly' visits. I'm anxious to know if anything is progressing or if all is just status quo. I definitely feel a lot more movement with Chloe than I did with Chase and certainly am having more contractions too. Not any that are too painful, so that is good. I still technically have 5 weeks to go, so who knows what is coming??

Well, that is about all thats going on here! I hope Spring is starting to find everyone. It found us today, but I think its going away for a few days again....I want it here to stay!!!!
